Jay's nine-month check-up was today. The newly-defined muscles in my arms say that this boy is heavy, and the scale agrees, although not as much as I expected it to. Jay has only gained about a pound since his six-month check-up. He weighed in today at 24 pounds, 11 ounces. He has grown a few inches taller, though, so all that mass is finally starting to stretch out. I think his height today was 2 feet, 4 inches. At almost 2 1/2 feet, he's just about half my height. Hmmmm, where does that come from? The pediatrician also encouraged us to let Jay start having a larger variety of foods, so we didn't waste any time on that. Jay enjoyed a real spaghetti dinner tonight. He wants so badly to feed himself. Definitely progress, but what a mess!!!
